Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., ("MSC") of Geneva, Switzerland, is a privately owned shipping line, founded in 1970. MSC has grown rapidly to become one of the leading global shipping lines of the world. During recent years MSC's maritime fleet has grown significantly to reach, in 2002, the rank of Second largest carrier in respect of container slot capacity as well as the Second largest carrier in respect of the number of vessels operated.

In 2000 MSC Operated 130 vessels. This has now grown to a fleet size of 300 vessels in 2006. The largest container ship to enter an Australian port, the MSC Fabienne, visited Sydney in April of 2004. MSC is the leading provider of direct portcalls, serving the 5 continents and calling at 215 ports through 175 main and combined weekly liner services. Mediterranean Shipping Company(Aust) Pty Limited is the Australian branch of MSC S.A. Our National Operational head office is located in Fremantle and we have offices in all mainland State Capitals.

MSC Travel Pty Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mediterranean Shipping Company ( Aust ) Pty Limited The agency was established in 1992 to service the needs of MSC Australia and its clients. We currently operate from two locations, Sydney and Melbourne. Our client base has grown over the intervening years and is predominantly small to medium size corporations that require customised, professional and personal Travel Management. Our future growth will be managed in keeping with our philosophy of maintaining excellent customer service and our reputation within our Industry. We will not over commit ourselves to the detriment of our service and quality. We specialise in looking after small to medium business that appreciate personalised attention. We are not a call centre and do have capacity at present to manage your business. Our Travel advisors are highly experienced and will work in conjunction with you to achieve your goals and understand your business.

MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises, is marketed by MSC Travel Pty as General Sales Agent for Mediterranean Shipping Crociere S.p.A, and offers an extensive range of exciting cruises throughout the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Northern Europe, Caribbean and South America, visiting exotic and ancient ports of call. The MSC cruise fleet currently comprises eight luxury ships. MSC Melody, MSC Monterey, MSC Rhapsody,
MSC Lirica, MSC Opera, MSC Armonia, MSC Sinfonia and our latest addition MSC Musica who sailed on her maiden voyage in June 2006. Our fleet has grown from three vessels in 2001 and will expand to a fleet of 12 ships by 2010.
